Academic project about public contract for the realisation of a new library in the city of Helsinki.
The contest notice required for specific areas to have different destinations; the building contains in addition to the library area, a covered square, an auditorium, a bar, a restaurant, offices with meeting and relax area, sauna, bookshop, and all related services. The project involves also the front area of the site for the realisation of a public park.
